Pearng Kummou This remote site is one of the most unique and unusual places in Northern Cambodia. Set to the east of Kulen mountain range it is a selection of ancient rock carvings on massive rocks and boulders. The area around is scattered with house house sized rocks. Some of the 800 year old carvings have been panted and altered but the important Ganesh and Reclining Vishnu figures ar in a remarkable state of preservation. Unknown by ourselves until 2008 Pearng Kumnou is rarely visited or even heard of. Pearng Kunmou is at the end of a rocky track only accessible by 4WD or motor bikes. It has extensive views and a small wooden pagoda shrine rebuilt in 2009. There are handful of people who live here in huts or shelters under the rocks. We go here as part of some our remote 4WD adventure tours to Koh Ker, Preah Vihear and multi day Remote Cambodia Custom tours.
